Registration Openings - Update 6/26 HCSA has completed all of it’s scheduled registration dates and there are no further dates planned. We do however have very limited spots available in the Boys U6, U10, U12, and U14 Divisions. We also have a few openings in the Girls U6, U8, U10, U12, and U14 divisions. If you are interested please send an e-mail to registrar@horsethiefsoccer.com as soon as possible. These spots won’t last long and the first to sign up get them.
Coaches Now that the draft is complete we will be creating the official rosters with Cal South. This process will take some time but we will try to complete it as quickly as possible. You will be receiving your official roster within seven to fourteen days of the draft. Once you receive your rosters we ask that you make contact the parent immediately.
The HCSA Coaching Clinic that was scheduled for Saturday the 27th and 28th is being rescheduled due to lack of participation commitment. We are looking to reschedule this clinic for the weekend of August 15th. While this clinic is not mandatory, it would be a great opportunity to watch some of Horsethief Soccer’s D Licensed coaches in action and get tips and advice. If you would be interested in attending this clinic please send an e-mail to coach@horsethiefsoccer.com so we can confirm the rescheduling.

Parents… Some items your child will need for practice are listed below. Along with some things to remember. Ball Size 3 for U-5 thru U-8 Size 4 for U-10 and U-12 Size 5 for U-14 and up
Shin Guards - These must be worn at all practices and games. Without them your child will not be allowed to play. Cleats - Soccer cleats are optional, but are highly recommended. Baseball cleats are not to be worn for practice or games. Water Bottle - The weather is warm and your child will need plenty of water before, during, and after practice. No Jewelry - Jewelry is not allowed on the soccer fields. This includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or other exposed piercings. This is for safety reasons. If your child is wearing any of these items on game day, they will be asked to remove them before being allowed to play. Medical alert bracelets may be worn, but must be covered up with tape. Small religious medallions may also be worn, but must be tucked inside their shirts.
All Coaches, Parents, and Spectators For those of you that were with us a few years ago you may remember the issues we had with the U5, U6, and U8 fields at Luiseno. Last season was much better thanks to everyone that helped by picking up their trash and keeping the kids off the slope. The only thing we saw was some children entering the school grounds. Please remember that we are only allowed to be on the fields. So if you see children heading into the school, please ask them not to. This will keep us in good standing with the school and allow us to continue to use the fields. Last season HCSA was forced to replace all of the goals. We had to replace them due to damage caused by people hanging on them. So, if you see anyone climbing on the goals, please ask them not to. |
