Coaches

Although every volunteer is important to us, it is the coaches that make if work for the kids.  Coaches have the potential to make of break a child’s experience with soccer and the future of this league.  Horsethief Soccer takes very seriously our responsibility to select coaches that will make the season a positive one for everyone.

Cal-South and Horsethief Soccer recognizes the importance of the coach and provides training to coaches at all levels.  These courses don’t just teach the game of soccer, but teach the philosophies of each age bracket and the psychology it takes to make the experience a positive one.  These courses are age specific and it is vital that you attend the appropriate course.

The Youth Module I course is for coaches in the Under 6 and Under 8 divisions. It is a three hour course and teaches how to develop the very young player.

The Youth Module III course is a five hour course designed for the recreational coach in divisions Under 10 and Under 12

The E License course is a 18 hour course designed for the Under 14 division and up, and is the entry level course for competitive coaches.
